Join our exciting team at the forefront of interdisciplinary research in automated interpretation of biological images!

Students interested in Ph.D. research in the Center can apply through a number of graduate programs:

• The Ph.D. Program of the Department of Biomedical Engineering accepts students with a range of backgrounds and includes a track in Bioimage Informatics.
• The Joint Carnegie Mellon - University of Pittsburgh Ph.D. Program in Computational Biology is a very demanding program that seeks to train the next generation of leaders in this critical interdisciplinary field. Students are expected to have a strong academic track record and normally have taken coursework in both biological and computational sciences. There is a specialization area in Bioimage Informatics.
• The Ph.D. Program of the Department of Biological Sciences has a strong record of training students in interdisciplinary biological research areas. A number of Center students have been enrolled through this program.
