From Pittsburgh International Airport
- Follow highways 60 South, 30/22 East, and 279 North toward Pittsburgh through the Fort Pitt Tunnel and onto the Fort Pitt Bridge.
- Once on the bridge, stay in the far right lanes and follow signs for 376 East/Monroeville.
- Take 376 East to Exit 2A, Forbes Avenue/Oakland.
- Stay in the right-hand lanes, following Forbes Avenue 1.3 miles through the Oakland business district to campus.
- At the intersection of Forbes Avenue and Beeler Street, turn right into the parking garage on campus.
- Proceed from the parking garage to Hamerschlag Hall.
From the east
- Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike West to Exit 57, Pittsburgh/Monroeville.
- Follow 376 West to Exit 7, Edgewood/Swissvale.
- At the end of the ramp, turn right onto Braddock Avenue.
- Continue to the Forbes Avenue intersection (Frick Park will be on the left).
- Turn left onto Forbes Avenue and follow it approximately three miles to campus.
- At the intersection of Forbes Avenue and Beeler Street, turn left into the parking garage on campus.
- Proceed from the parking garage to Hamerschlag Hall.
From the north/west
- Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike East to Exit 28, Perry Highway.
- Follow Interstate 79 South to 279 South (Exit 72).
- As you near the city, follow signs for 579 South and the Veterans Bridge.
- After crossing the bridge, watch carefully on your right for the 376 East/Oakland/Monroeville exit ramp. Bear right onto this ramp, which will place you on the Boulevard of the Allies.
- Continue on the Boulevard of the Allies for approximately 1/2 mile. Do not bear right at the 376 East/Monroeville ramp. Instead, stay on the Boulevard and exit at the Forbes Avenue off ramp. The exit will be marked with a small green sign, watch for it carefully!
- Stay in the right-hand lanes, following Forbes Avenue 1.3 miles through the Oakland business district to campus.
- At the intersection of Forbes Avenue and Beeler Street, turn right into the parking garage on campus
- Proceed from the parking garage to Hamerschlag Hall.
From the south
- Take Interstate 79 North to 279 North (Pittsburgh)
- Follow 279 North toward Pittsburgh through the Fort Pitt Tunnel and onto the Fort Pitt Bridge.
- Once on the bridge, stay in the far right lanes and follow signs for 376 East/Monroeville.
- Take 376 East to Exit 2A, Forbes Avenue/Oakland.
- Stay in the right-hand lanes, following Forbes Avenue 1.3 miles through the Oakland business district to campus.
- At the intersection of Forbes Avenue and Beeler Street, turn right into the parking garage on campus.
- Proceed from the parking garage to Hamerschlag Hall.
Walking directions from the East Parking Garage
- West of the parking area and University Center is a grassy area called the Cut that leads you into the center of campus.
- Follow the sidewalk along the Cut past Doherty Hall to another grassy area on your right called the Mall. Go right on one of the Mall's two paths straight to the end.
- In front of you is Hamerschlag Hall, which you will recognize by its distinctive smoke stack on the top. Go down the steps on the left. At the foot of the steps, cut across the parking lot. The CBI is in front of you (glass doors).
